Hello Everyone! I hope each and everyone is maintaining their goals on their #JourneyToBetter Phase 3 challenge, and if you are just starting out I hope you have put together your vision boards w/ action plans and have your accountability partners in place to help you along the way!
By now you all know that I too have been on my own journey to better phase 3 challenge and much like phase 1 for me, this includes not only mental, emotional & spiritual detox and cleansing but also physical as well. So far I have gotten extremely close to my Goal weight, but of course we all know how we when reach one milestone it encourages you to keep going. I am no different I have lost 50 pounds since beginning my journey however I am now toning and doing other core exercises to reach my overall goals. But even with that being said I absolutely LOVE the results. Not only in a physical sense but because for every pound lost in physical weight was 2-3 pounds of weight released, emotionally, mental & spiritually. So I am really excited and proud of myself for making the decision to be healthy overall for me. Now let me say this, IT was NOT overnight, NOR was it easy breezy, this took work as anything long-lasting does. So if you are currently battling with your transition and you are not sure if it is actually worth it, TRUST me it is! You are not in this alone, you have thousands of supporters and so many need you reach your goals , so you can be an example to others that anything is possible. Journey To Better Phase 2 Has ended: But Phase 3 Has begun!! Sept 1-31st find out how Phase 2 has helped me!
First I would like to say I have the best supporters ever! You guys are truly amazing and really make my heart smile! When I originally began this Journey to better challenge, it wasn’t for public as I previously stated, I didn’t even consider it a challenge, it was more of a detox because of everything I had been going through I needed change. This year marks year 2 of my journey to better & it has been completely liberating! People began asking how I lost weight and what I did because of the change they saw on the inside, but I honestly hadn’t been able to fully focus on the weight loss physically because I was so excited about what I was feeling inwardwise. Shortly after I was suddenly inspiring so many people to join me, only I hadn’t actually put any blue print together. So Journey to Better Phase 2 is just that. Its different things that helped me on my original journey that all contributed to overall success for me, mentally, emotionally, spiritually & physically.

Journey To Better Phase 2- Day 23- Key Factors That Determine If You Are Healthy Or NOT.
So we are on Day 23 of Phase 2 Journey to Better Challenge, and so far the main focus has been on Mental, Emotional,& Spiritual health. Reason being is so many focus on the outer results and miss the key elements resulting in yo yo dieting and not many results that last beyond the moment you are in. This journey is about sustaining lasting results, and this is only obtained when you work on the inside out. Releasing baggage that holds you captive. Once these things are dealt with you are able to stick to the goals you set and achieve the ultimate results. Now many are confused on what being healthy really means. Is it your size jeans, is it the size of your hips, bottom or chest. Not quite. being healthy is not based on your outer appearance alone. Although in most cases it is a clear indication of unhealthiness, what determines your overall health are the maintenance of your inner self. Below are some things to check and gain control over to ensure overall better health!

Journey To better Phase 2-Day 11- Understanding True Happiness Doesn’t Come From “Things” That Make You Happy, But “Being” The Thing that Creates Your Happiness & The Lesson Legendary Robin Williams’s Sudden Death Should Teach Us.
I know we all have the secret obsessions material wise, I mean we all love being able to purchase certain things or go certain places, but what many of us fail to understand is why at times it may feel as if something is still missing. How can you have the biggest house, the greatest friends, best opportunities , nicest cars, top education, the best bodies, etc and still not be happy. I mean how in the world can you still have problems in any area when you have all of the above? This is the illusion society has allowed to be created with the help of magazines, television, red carpets and much more, you know the picture perfect, don’t show your truth curtain. However what is never truly discussed is how you can have everything money can buy and still not be happy or satisfied. We are Now On Day 7 Of Journey To Better Phase 2! I am beyond Excited! You should be happy for yourself! Trust me this journey is not by any means easy, I mean who said completely cleansing yourself inside and out would be?
I know you thought It would be all about just working off fat and toning huh! LOL. Well it all depends on how you look at it, internally you are filled with toxins, fat, and so much more and what you see outwardly is a mirror of that. Journey to Better Phase 2- Day 4- Remove the Clutter!
Lets face it, we have goals we want to achieve and things we desire to have in life but there are a few things holding us back. Old Hurt, old baggage from childhood, anger issues, lack of self-control, lack of organizational skills, no actual plan of how to work towards the goals you want set, home is chaotic, lacking stability, old traditions, phone log full of too many ” In case of people” You know the ones, you call in case you are drunk texting,or in case you are bored, or in case you wanna gossip, etc so on. Not that these things feed into your life to assist in growth, but because they “Fill” your life to take up the empty space you can’t figure out within yourself to actual address. Those are stand by drainers. As dysfunctional as they may be , and no matter how miserable you may be around them, you can’t get enough. Well this is the reason you cant become who you are destined to become, because you refuse to release the ties that bind you to you a comfortable place. You would rather be around and within familiarity oppose to adapting to the unfamiliar because it seems more relatable. Imagine how much better you would feel if you actually achieved the things you say you want to do. Wouldn’t that be amazing? Well let me give you some tips that helped me, I wont act as if it was easy because it was not, but it was necessary and worth it!
- Change your perception of who you think you are– You have to get rid of the programmed thoughts on what you think you know about yourself, because until you do, you will only be able to go as far as your mind allows.

Journey To Better Phase 2- Day 3- Embrace The Power In Being A Woman : Why KeKe Palmer Makes Us Proud to Be A Woman.
Today is day 3 of the Journey to Better Cleanse & detox Challenge, and as ive stated before the original Journey to better for me was a very very personal one. I didn’t share much of my journey partly because i didn’t realize it was one, I just knew that I was in such a very dark place, full of heaviness and in a place of numbness. I had lost myself. The world on the outside could see nothing was wrong, but i knew. So i made the decision to shut everyone out, and really dig deep. I wrote out all my goals, dreams, fears and began the process of finding myself from inside out, I went through an entire process of detox, and during this time I had just completed filming for Our Documentary, and after doing so many interviews, and speaking to young girls, i realized through my hurt, fears, disappointments and so much more I had found my my purpose. I had the gift of reaching people, helping people feel empowered, but there was just one issue…..I hadnt yet mastered the art of self, and this left me incomplete and broken. Journey To Better Phase 2 STARTS TODAY! August 3rd-31st , Redefining your purpose & Executing it!
After My last Journey to Better Series, so many people asked how i did it? How did i lose weight, how did i stay focused, how did i achieve set goals, how did i start my business, etc so on. So i decided this time i will share my journey with you, while assisting you in doing the same. Many know my story and so many dont. Many are not familiar with who i am or what i do at all and this will be their first interaction with me. This excites me. I enjoy sharing my journey with people and seeing them create life as they see it, its truly amazing. I also know as many people reach out to ask for advice and help, or how to’s, many will not ever take the journey to changing their lives for real. Why is this? Its quite simple…..Its not easy! It takes a lot of time, effort, preparation, and loosing the familiar. Often times we focus on spending so much time feeding into others, taking care of them, loving them, and being everything for them , while being NOTHING to yourself. I know when I first started on my Journey to Fitness, originally it was not about the weight physically at all, it was about the heaviness my spirit felt. I was bound by everything society said i was suppose to be and had no clue about who i was actually meant to be. As ive stated before, By the age of 21, I had lost 2 babies, buried my father, and watched as my husband be taken to prison .Battling grief, anger, frustration and gearing up for the legal battles of an unjust justice system, taking on responsibility for my family and being the strong one, started to cave in. I started to lose my self. Eventually fast forward to being overweight, emotionally numb, i started to be consumed, however I knew i had a purpose, i knew no one would understand my journey or my experiences, cause they had not been there, i had never told them and I knew they had no answers. After i found my passion & it was aligned with my purpose , I began to walk in it. A year and a half ago i began to write down my desires, and goals created a vision board for fitness, finances and overall goals and I STUCK IT OUT! And now almost 2 years later I am helping others change their lives. Was it easy NO. It was days I wanted to say forget this, because when you began to find yourself you realize you no longer relate to the things you were taught, or the people you associate with etc. So the transition is not an easy one. Now I will be honest, while every goal is attainable everyone will not master it. They will give up, not because they cant do it, but because doing the work is always harder than wanting it done.
Why Phase 2? Journey to Better phase 1, was all personal, it was mine. I had no purpose for it being public or even something i would be teaching others to do. But every time i reach a new milestone, I know transition is about to occur, and that means growth. I have so many amazing projects coming up and my life is getting hectic, so I know its time to tune in to myself and make sure Im at peace. So Phase 2, is me taking this journey but bringing you along, giving you tips advice, helping you with your health emotionally, physically and spiritually. For every pound i lose, i know i lose excess weight that causes stress mentally, emotionally and spiritually as well. By doing the work inward first it exudes outwardly. So for 30 days i will be assisting you with recipes, fitness ideas, and most of all getting back in tune with yourself. Who are you? what is your purpose? And creating the life you truly desire!
