Today is day 3 of the Journey to Better Cleanse & detox Challenge, and as ive stated before the original Journey to better for me was a very very personal one. I didn’t share much of my journey partly because i didn’t realize it was one, I just knew that I was in such a very dark place, full of heaviness and in a place of numbness. I had lost myself. The world on the outside could see nothing was wrong, but i knew. So i made the decision to shut everyone out, and really dig deep. I wrote out all my goals, dreams, fears and began the process of finding myself from inside out, I went through an entire process of detox, and during this time I had just completed filming for Our Documentary, and after doing so many interviews, and speaking to young girls, i realized through my hurt, fears, disappointments and so much more I had found my my purpose. I had the gift of reaching people, helping people feel empowered, but there was just one issue…..I hadnt yet mastered the art of self, and this left me incomplete and broken. Many know KEKE Palmer as an Actress, singer and for those who know her personally or follow her on social media know that she is very vocal about her views, emotions and vulnerabilities as a woman. KeKe has been in the industry for years however she has always been the girl next door type of woman who you feel so comfortable with and are eager to hear what she has to say. Recently she was given the opportunity that this generation has needed and never seen, we haven’t had a show even close to this since BET launched Teen Summit over 15 years ago. KeKe’s new show is a breath of fresh air, unbiased, honest conversations geared towards channeling the thoughts and experiences many young adults face on a daily. Making History as the Youngest African American woman to have her own talk show on a major network, she is definitely taking the world by storm and creating a platform for people to own their identity and create the life they truly desire. This show is a must see for all ethnicities, generations, and genders! Released on 06/30/2014 you can stay tuned weekdays 4pm on Bet!

Vh1 has managed to capture the very inspiring, emotional, groundbreaking story of Grammy award winning Girl Group of the 90′s and early 2000′s TLC. Tboz, Chilli and Lefteye were more than a group of girls with talent. They were innovative, bold and very aware! They used their music as a platform for girl/women empowerment, brought awareness to safe sex, independence and incredible style! There has been and will never be another! But with great success comes, tragedy, disagreements, financial woes, illness and more. This story is indeed a remarkable one and its sure to inspire as well as bring a greater appreciation to what they stood for! The casting i must say regardless of the controversy and negative views of who was cast, i believe they did an amazing job with the help of Chilli and Tboz (RIP Lefteye) with capturing not only the mannerisms of each artist but the look as well! KeKe Palmer as Chilli, Niatia “Lil Mama”Kirkland as Left Eye and Drew Sidora as Tboz! I cant wait to tune in!! Will you be watching!?
