During her interview with Vogue, Janelle, who’s known for her signature minimalist and androgynous style, admitted that she’s always had a softspot in her heart for makeup.  She also spoke on admiring Tyra Banks’ CoverGirl ads when she was growing up, her different makeup techniques and what the new campaign deal means to her. On her personal makeup looks:
I take a minimalist approach to my wardrobe and I do the same with my makeup. I don’t look at it as a mask. I don’t overdo it. A bold shade of red or pink—something that pops—brings the whole look together. I keep my eyes pretty simple but I like to make my lashes a little darker and thicker.

On becoming a CoverGirl:
I believe it’s time that women truly owned their superpowers and used their beauty and strength to change the world around them. One of my core values is to help redefine what it means to be a strong and beautiful woman in the music and fashion worlds and to empower the wonderful things that make us unique. Becoming a COVERGIRL is truly an honor and a gift: it opens up a new platform for me to inspire women to feel stronger, braver and more beautiful inside and out.

Hard Knocks show’s the emotional release of “Chad Ochocinco” On last Nights Episode on HBO.

Miami Dolphins coach Joe Philbin said on Monday that cutting Chad Johnson wasn’t an easy decision to make.the second episode of “Hard Knocks” makes it look like it was somewhat of a struggle to deliver the news to Johnson. Regardless of his off the field struggles you cant deny his talent!..But there comes a time when you have to question if your talent is being overshadowed by other things, and when that happens it definetly affects more than yourself. And in those cases coaches etc must do whats best for the team in their eyes.
The HBO and NFL Films cameras were rolling when Johnson walked into Philbin’s office a day after he was arrested on Saturday night for domestic violence against Evelyn Lozada, who has since filed for divorce..
“It’s more about how you fit in, and how we fit in together, and where this thing is heading. Just don’t see it being where I thought it would be or what I hoped it would be,” said Philbin.
Chad released his first statement since the arrest on his website hours before the episode aired, apologizing and vowing to “continue to be positive and train hard for another opportunity in the NFL.”

Domestic Violence: Evelyn Lozada &Chad Ochocinco:UPDATED”Evelyn files for Divorce!

ImageOver the weekend News feeds and news stations were in a uproar and whirlwind over recent reality show couple Evelyn Lozada and Chad Ochocinco, after the two were involved in a domestic violence incident that left a 3″ gash on Evelyn’s forehead and resulted in a trip to the clink for Chad followed by getting dropped from his NFL team. To make matters worse, their upcoming reality show was scrapped by VH1, Chad was axed from HBO’s Hard Knocks and throughout all the drama, Evelyn suffered the loss of her brother-in-lawwho lost his battle with cancer. Now even though they both have been mute during this situation, today a statement was released byEvelyn in which she states she is disappointed that chad is not taking responsibility for his actions:

“It is with great sadness and much trepidation that I release this statement addressing the domestic violence incident that happened this past Saturday. I am deeply disappointed that Chad has failed to take responsibility for his actions and made false accusations against me, it is my sincere hope that he seeks the help he needs to overcome his troubles. Domestic violence is not okay and hopefully my taking a stand will help encourage other women to break their silence as well. I agree, violence is not acceptable period! Which is why i dont understand how vh1 will remove their upcoming show , but continue to play trailers of violence from upcoming shows, such as basketball wives, mob wives, hollywood ex wives, love and hip hop etc. It seems as though it is a contradiction! If you dont condone violence it should be across the board, whether it be from a woman hitting another woman or a man hitting a woman!….PERIOD!. We cant go around acting as though its cool to act loud ratchet and throw glasses, fist and anything else at each other negating the seriousness of those situations as well. Not saying Evelyn deserved any of this only because People should not throw fist period , but i am saying its 3 sides to a story, her side, his side and the truth, . CVS Pharmacy Launches “PROJECT HEALTH” Bringing Free Health Screening to 10 CITIES

This is GREAT news for those who are in need of shots etc. FREE Screening is what cvs is giving with it’s new project health campaign!*

What cities are holding Free Health Screenings and Flu Voucher Fridays? Project Health will deliver more than a 1,000 free preventive health screening events in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. Why is CVS/pharmacy promoting the campaign in August?
August is National Immunization Awareness Month and the perfect time to promote immunizations, reminding family, friends and coworkers to stay up-to-date on their shots. It is one of the five key health awareness months when CVS/pharmacy offers free health screening events with professional consultations and medical referrals.
Children ages 7 and over can participate in only two screenings: vaccination reviews and vision acuity. Parents are encouraged to bring their children’s immunization records in preparation for school.
Will CVS provide vaccinations at the health screenings?
August health screening events will focus on vaccination reviews, vision acuity, blood pressure and BMI (Body Mass Index). Once individuals complete the entire health screening process, s/he will receive a voucher for a regular seasonal flu shot starting in September. Vaccinations will not be provided on-site.

When will these screenings take place?
Project Health screenings will take place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday in August, 2-6pm. CVS/pharmacy will also hold Flu Voucher Fridays each week as part of the Project Health events.

Who qualifies for Flu Voucher Fridays?
Project Health attendees who complete the health screening process will receive a voucher that can be redeemed beginning in September at CVS/pharmacy or MinuteClinic for a flu shot. The minimum age for vaccination by a pharmacist varies by state. Nurse practitioners and physician assistants at MinuteClinic can vaccinate patients who are 18 months or older.

A 9 yr old Lil Boy was filmed , Stomping , punching and shaking small baby girls at the Kiddie City Childcare Center  in Vicksburg, last month. Day care working was arrested due to children being unsupervised during incident. The lil boy’s family spoke out about incident”“I feel bad about him jumping on a two year-old baby, he nine years-old,” Dolley said. “He don’t fight his own 2-year-old brother like that or cousins.” “He bad. He fight but he don’t fight little babies. He do also have a problem. He take medicine every day and he just a normal child,” says Vinia Dolley.

Sherman Hemsley the actor famous for playing George Jefferson on “The Jeffersons” reportly died as a result of a cancerous mass on his lung this according to the El Paso County Texas Medical Examiner.Before his death it was reported that he was advised to receive chemo and radiation treatment.According to the Postmortem Report, obtained by TMZ, the primary cause of death is listed as “superior vena cava syndrome” a complication resulting from a mass on Sherman’s lung.
