  • HAPPY NEW YEAR BRAVESTARS!!! Hope each and everyone of you, had an amazing first start of the year! Many of you have your goals, had your mind set and you were ready to go! BUT then Next day came and its same routine. And your question is HOW DO I KICK INTO GEAR MY NEW YEAR, NEW ME? Trust me I know. how you feel. It is always easier to just fall back into your old routine and say to your self ” Ill do it tomorrow” “Ill work on that thing tomorrow” etc. BUT the thing is , how are you so arrogant to believe that you will have tomorrow? You know so many times we trick our self into believing that we will always have more time , when the truth is , you do not always have  more time. I am a firm believer in , What is for you, will be for you. No two people will ever have the same purpose or destiny nor the same journey to get there, however you can miss your season. And by missing your season you will miss the blessing’s and the lesson’s you were suppose to receive for that season, which would help you to get to your destination. Even with me knowing this i know , it is still some day’ s I JUST SIMPLY DO NOT FEEL LIKE DOING IT. I must say this year has been so incredible. I’ve learned so many things and i have changed in so many ways, physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotional wise! I’ve learned a few lessons as well, and its hopefully some things that will assist you in starting your new year off as well!!! So many people assume just because it a new calendar year , that everything will miraculously change, and sad truth is , It wont. The true reason for change begins with SELF.  Sadly some are so consumed with old habits, traditions, thought processes and expired goals, unfulfilled relationships, broken finances etc.,that their NEW calendar year will be like previous years. Not because it has to be that way but because it’s easier to say “Easier said than Done” than to make the changes needed to actually create a NEW beginning. I guess they are hoping or expecting it to miraculously happen. New beginnings have potential of happening every single day you wake up, every Monday you dread and complain about, every Sunday you religiously go to church and go home and fall into the SAME routine, with little to NO change at all. So often People Ask me did you really change your LIFESTYLE in order to get the results you wanted and why did you do it. Well My answer is YES and because it was NECESSARY. Often times we are just so complacent and we go on living our life, eating horrible, drinking and living a life full of socializing, being mother’s, chasing dreams, being wives and everything else you can think of, that we take little to no time to focus on ourselves. It has become  increasingly difficult, especially when you have the world glorifying being thick, hippie and having a big butt, is means and direct access to success , resulting in over eating and over consuming, risk taking such as injections, implants and much more .  The most we do as a whole is  focus on keeping toned or appearing toned in the stomach area, while you have the other  one’s who feel the skinnier you are the better fit you are to walk the run ways of Paris, London and Milan, as well as grace covers of Vogue, Elle or any other popular fashion /fitness magazine, resulting in eating disorders, drug addictions and even death. I know many of you have been emailing me and facebooking me, asking where have i been? Well I have been taking some much-needed time to regroup. As many of you know, being an Entrepreneur can be extremely tiring and as much as i LOVE what i do, i also have to balance and take time out for myself mentally, spiritually, emotionally and physically. Vh1 has managed to capture the very inspiring, emotional, groundbreaking story of Grammy award winning Girl Group of the 90′s and early 2000′s TLC. Tboz, Chilli and Lefteye were more than a group of girls with talent. They were innovative, bold and very aware! They used their music as a platform for girl/women empowerment, brought awareness to safe sex, independence and incredible style! There has been and will never be another! But with great success comes, tragedy, disagreements, financial woes, illness and more. This story is indeed a remarkable one and its sure to inspire as well as bring a greater appreciation to what they stood for! The casting i must say regardless of the controversy and negative views of who was cast, i believe they did an amazing job with the help of Chilli and Tboz (RIP Lefteye) with capturing not only the mannerisms of each artist but the look as well! KeKe Palmer as Chilli, Niatia “Lil Mama”Kirkland as Left Eye and Drew Sidora as Tboz! I cant wait to tune in!! Will you be watching!?
